Busy Ski Season

The last week was hectic as we're getting towards ski season. Perhaps it's the economy but ski sales fluctuate wildly - one day is dead and the next the phone is ringing constantly. Amy and I were busy shipping out a whopping 21 pairs of skis this afternoon.
I've been reading up on Google lately, about the company and the Adwords area of Google. The most interesting thing I've learned thus far is that all Google searches are run through relatively normal off the shelf computers. Instead of buying supercomputers for nearly $1,000,000 Google buys hundreds of computers similar to home PCs. Then they hook them all up and Google searches are run through them. Part of the beauty of this system is that if one goes down it has a negligible effect on the search network. Smart fellas.
